2018 Highlight Projects

Botswana Innovation Hub-Data Centre

The BIH Science and Technology Park is located strategically on a 57-hectare site, near the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport and adjacent to the Diamond Technology Park in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana.

The Park is an ideal location for technology-driven and knowledge-intensive businesses to establish themselves, develop, and compete in the regional and global markets.

Telenetix built a 20-Rack Chromadek based Data Centre for the innovation hub. Complete with meet-me room a utility room and power distribution room all supported by a generator and UPS back-up system. The Data Centre was offered as a Turn-Key solution.

DPA-Micro Grid ISO Container

Distributed Power Africa in collaboration with Telenetix designed and built a ISO container based micro-grid and power storage unit. The unit housed over 100kW of storage and uses hybrid generated power.

The unit was built in factory and commissioned on site, providing an innovative reliable source of power for a remote lodge. The solution optimizes power and infrastructure costs into a single modular package.

Fischer 300kW Commercial Solar

300kW Rooftop mounted solar solution installed in Centurion in Gauteng. The solution used a unique roofing structure to accommodate the uneven Facility roof of Fischer. A total of 300kW AC power and 360kWp of DC power. The project had a 18 month ROI.

Solar power has enormous potential as an energy source in Sub-Saharan Africa, where two thirds of the population lacks access to electricity, and grid-based power generation capacity is far short of what is needed. At the same time, the cost of photovoltaic (PV) technology has fallen dramatically.

We are proud to be a manufacturer of choice, and manufacture for international energy concerns.
