The Seacom Mtunzini project was a Specialized in house container build that consisted of the fabrication of a 6m ISO Container into a retro-fitted HVAC solution for their main Data Center. The ISO Container was Built and tested in house before being delivered and installed on-site. With a need for improved cooling due to a Data Center upgrade this modular solution was just the answer.
The Project Was complimented by a unique ducting system that allowed for the extraction of hot air from the Data Center hot spots into the Container. This hot air was then cooled using 3 x. Stulz HVAC units that operate in sync. The Cold air was then Fed back into Data Center. This is another example of the capabilities of Modular Infrastructure and how this type of infrastructure can be retrofitted for your needs
Seacom Mtunzini Generator Upgrade
The Generator Upgrade at Seacom Mtunzini site was a complete revamp of the site’s out dated power back-up system. The new installation included removing the old generators and fitting the site with 2 Standby Gensets that operate in Sync. These generators where installed with additional equipment such as the Fuel Tanks system, a roofing structure and a complete change over panel.
